...And yet, I keep sticking around to see if something does. Apparently.

So right now it's 2:15 AM. I've spent all day being ridiculously tired (after going to bed around 3 last night and waking up at 9-ish), and only 15 minutes ago I could not WAIT to finally go to bed.

Only, funny story: the second I put my PJs on and brushed my teeth and all that fun stuff, I was instantly wide awake. And now I have absolutely no idea when I'm going to end up falling asleep.

I hate insomnia.

The funny thing (except for how it's not funny) is that this hasn't just lasted for a month or so, though I think it's been getting worse since my cousin died. I've had really weird sleeping patterns ever since I started college, always staying up for crazy hours with no real reason to do so. It's just that before I could always get to sleep at a normal hour (like 1:30) if I wanted to. Now? I can't.

Maybe I'll channel my newfound not-sleepness toward something productive. Like FINALLY finishing that next part of Barely Coping (no, [info]idioticonion, I haven't forgotten about it! I'm just really slow, and it's being really difficult, and... enhhhhhh.).

Oh, and I showed my friend Dr. Horrible tonight for the first time! But it was coming right after an MST3K screening of Sweeney Todd (her new favorite thing) so she kept comparing it to that (which I kind of wish she hadn't kept doing because she missed the best parts that way, KELLY). But another girl who was there had also seen it a million times, and I'd never seen Dr. Horrible with someone who loved it too, so that part was exciting! Of course, our combined spazzing/reciting/sing-alonging was probably another reason Kelly missed some things. Eh.

Edit: Quick random question: is it McLaren's or MacLaren's? Or is there even an apostrophe? Or random capitalization of the letter L?

Sorry if it's a stupid question. My brain's falling apart, and I've run out of duct tape.

... since I'm so hooked on HIMYM. Anyway, on to the episode!!

It's a black hole where dreams go to die! )
I walked 11075 steps today!!!! Of course, I think most of them were at the gym. But still, it's awesome!

Cinema midterm tomorrow. Kill me now. It's open-note, but I was studying with a bunch of people before coming back to watch HIMYM and I think we're all screwed, even if our notes are awesome. Sigh.

(I use the word "awesome" too much now. I told you HIMYM was affecting the way I talk.)

Anyway, back to work!

(3rd entry today. Sweet Lord.)

So guess who got 3 hours of sleep last night?! Meeeee! I blame NPH and his sadsadsad look, because the angst it telegraphed kept me awake all night. Seriously. (Though if I decided to not blame an actor for all my problems, I guess I could point out that I took a nap yesterday and thus threw off my sleep pattern. But that would be too mature of me.) Regardless, today has sucked. And my ever-increasing workload isn't helping matters.

Here's what I have to do tonight:
-Write a paper defending Copernicus in the trial of Galileo, and have it posted by 10 pm. Right now I have... 1 sentence out of 4 pages. This'll go good.
-Write the frickin' paper on the Columbian cocaine trade.
-Have a roommate mtg. with some of my residents.
-Stop singing "Let's Go to the Mall".
-Read Malena Morling's poems. Zzzzzzzzz. I'm so over poetry at this point.
-Go on duty! Yaaaaaaaay.
-Get sleep!
-Stay far, far, FAR away from LJ and TWoP.
-Not die.

I've failed at all these things so far. Oh well. To work!
