Author's Note: This assumes that Piz took the New York internship to be closer to Veronica as she interned for the FBI. It's also set during season 4 of HIMYM where Barney is dealing with his deadly infection of "feelings". Also, the finger of blame is firmly pointed at otempora42 for putting this idea into my head, and secondmezzanine for rewatching season 1 of VM with me.

So... thanks to comments made by a certain otempora42 and idioticonion (and I'm actually starting to use "I blame" tags because of this), I seem to have come up with an enormous Whedonverse crossover idea.

That's right: Buffy meets Dollhouse meets Firefly meets Dr. Horrible. And if I'd seen a single episode of Angel, I'd probably find a way to work that into this mess too. *brain implodes* Ow.

This is what two hours of insane rambling came up with to make this sort of work:

Somebody want to smack me upside the head with a cinderblock of some sort for even attempting to make all this stuff fit together? Or if it actually makes the slightest amount of sense, maybe adopting it, or starting a cofic with me? Because if it took me two hours to write even the vaguest outline for this story...
